World’s Coolest Intern

OMG... This is a lot man...! - SGD30,000 for 6 months internship program...

I hoped when I'm doing my internship that times, I can got this chance.

Seriously, this is the "World’s Coolest Intern" Program. I take up my hands and legs.. strongly agree on it.

Curious to know what’s in store? It’s nothing short of impressive:
- A 6-month internship programme with total remuneration of SGD30,000
- Perks includes training on social media and online engagement from Standard Chartered’s esteemed partners

Since I'm old enough ...(ok after i re-read the requirement and get confirmation from nuffnang I'm actually eligible to enter this to grab the job) and not able to join this internship program but I will based on my experiences tell those youngster (tell those that interest to grab this golden opportunity, not suppose to used the word youngster hahha...) those that have chance to join, why you all should take part to grab this golden chances.

WHY you should join Standard Chartered???

First of all, yes of cause Standard Chartered’s bank is a well know international bank that we all know,

2nd, Banking industries have a lot of thing to learn, I worked in banking fields before this. If you ask me to write a blog to grab a chance to get a job in Standard Chartered I will grab for it... hahaha but too bad tak ade loh... (ok I seriously think I have the opportunity after I seriously re-read about it...)

From Loan, Deposit, GL, alot alot of more to learn.. Reporting... etc etc...

3rd, When you work in Bank, their employee usually have 20++ annual leave, yes is more than normal company and beside that, some of the bank they provide special rate for their staff on car loan, and housing loan.

I can simply just write down 3 WHY's you should join this "World’s Coolest Intern" .. I believe there are more benefits which is out of my knowledge. So, for those out there quickly on your PC and laptop blog about this and grab this chance...

WHY you should join Standard Chartered???

Firstly, let me be the white mouse to test the job market, I really don't believe they giving out so high paid for an intern. I'm willing to become the volunteer to help you all test this golden opportunity. hahah....lolz

2nd, I worked in banking industry before this. Although is not a long period, my experience with Affin bank at Raja chulan, six months doing their MIS reporting for the bank. After I have completed the project at Affin Bank, I given the chance to worked at Mandiri Bank, Jakarta. To support their existing system on for their weekly, and monthly reporting for the government bank report.

3rd, I have nothing else to tell, but I have the willingness to learn. I worked from call center before, credit card sales girl, but those are part timer or short term job. Apart on that, from serious job from database developer, I moved on to become a programmer then now I'm a consultant. I believed this job wont failed me to continue learning on different field.

---------------------------THE END----------------------------

A very new experience...

This is the second weeks for me for to giving the training about "Incident Management" training at one of the well know organization at KL.

Seriously, is totally a new experiences compare with my previous job as developer/programmer/a.k.a consultant but still doing hardcore programming last times.

When I first heard that there is 2 weeks continuous training session with the business user. I was thinking I won't be the lucky one, since I'm just changed my job so this important task should go for the existing engineer lah....

Mana tahu, after boss ask me to prepare the training slide. Boss tell me :"Ok, I do the first one, the second and the following training session you do lah..." Can I say no? Of cause cannot loh...

Ok I have to "pandai-pandai" catch, what my boss have talked with those user. What are the important point that he highlighted.

Basically, I have no problem on guide those user on how to use the system. But when come into the process flow, It's very hard for me to explain because some of the user is even expert than me, and even some of them have ITIL cert. Seriously...!

The training that have been go through so many days, is not a simple open, click , save and update thing.

It's about Incident management process from ITIL.

Okay, some of you all might never heard of ITIL..

What is ITIL?

ITIL® is the most widely adopted approach for IT Service Management in the world. It provides a practical, no-nonsense framework for identifying, planning, delivering and supporting IT services to the business.

What is Incident Management?

The objective of Incident Management is to restore normal operations as quickly as possible with the least possible impact on either the business or the user, at a cost-effective price.

Inputs for Incident Management mostly come from users, but can have other sources as well like management Information or Detection Systems. The outputs of the process are RFC’s (Requests for Changes), resolved and closed Incidents, management information and communication to the customer.

Below is the simple ways to understand the process for Incident Management

Will share with you all more about in detail regarding the Incident Management...

I'm really falling with this stylish cool gadget.

First of all, Do You Need a Blackberry?

Frankly speaking, nowadays all the youngster, even some old folk we get connected with internet-FACEBOOK. Yes, seriously!! and why do we need a smart-phone like Blackberry Torch 9800? Let me tell you a joke, a weeks ago my mum was attending a wedding dinner with her old friends, and one of the aunty trying to be "concern" about me by asking my mum, when is your daughter turn get marry? So my mum answering her no so fast lah.... no boyfriend yet lah... Surprisingly the aunty replying my mum. Saying that don't bluff huh.. I saw your daughter facebook photo album there, she is with some one. OMG... can't believe that those aunty is so updating with those facebook.

So do I need a blackberry, YES OF CUZ. I'm dying to have one so that I won't outdated than the aunty so that next times, when I'm with my mum I can show off my Blackberry Torch 9800 (If i win one lah... lol), surf the Facebook and show to that aunty.... Aunty you don't bluff my mum I never post any leng chai photo with me loh...

Yes, one of the reasons I love this blackberry because we able to surf and get integrated with social network like "FACEBOOK"!

Having problem to surf Facebook with the oldest model of Blackberry?

Said No Worried for BlackBerry Torch 9800, because this blackie it have a touchscreen slider with full Qwerty keyboard. This is the second reasons why I love "HIM".

With this function touchscreen + keyboard you can opt to use the keyboard, and the virtual interface on the touch screen has been tweaked too as well. Slide the hardware Qwerty in and the phone will switch to the virtual Qwerty mode.

Picture below you can see the slide out Qwerty keyboard. Cool yeah..!

Following with this cool gadget, of cause it have a "sharp and beautiful eye"... Mnnn why I said so? Yes, BlackBerry Torch 9800 provide a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.
Beside that, it have autofocus function as well. There's also some icons for geo-tagging your position, quickly changing the flash setting, and for changing the scene modes.

Some screen shot to show the camera on BlackBerry Torch 9800.

Some sample photo that I able to google it as below.

The first photo is a indoor picture that take with BlackBerry torch 9800

This one is without the auto flash function.

Let have a summary on this cool gadget about the size and the specification about BlackBerry Torch 9800.
